I am not the one who handles balance (Thats mostly Yrel and Crazed), but for your other comments...
- Effects Applied means that the card doesn't play well with the turn summary right now. Its kind of an incomprehensible mess right now, or I would have fixed it. It is on the to-do list, though.
- Discard options are coming (Though not too many on this update)
- You can select "Skip Intro" in the character selection menu. Otherwise, the "Skip" button on the upper right skips to next scene, and enemy intros are a single scene right now.

- That would make favor *way* too OP unless limited somehow. I'll run leave it to Yrel to figure out how to balance it. Of you could pitch your idea in the #card-ideas channel on the discord.
