Just like in real life i can't find a way to gain happiness. Y manage to find a new character but she just went away and never returned. Y managed to find a portal out but it just restarted the game in a new grid with lower happiness. I get from the stats and skills that there must be some kind if survival system but Im only able to shuffle around bushes until I get depressed and die. Lol, relatable am I right. I think some kind of tutorial at least a simple one is needed. Other than that the presentation is really nice and the mechanics work seamlessly, looking forward to find where this leads.

Ah, yes. The speech text hint is not clear enough. When you have them clear a bush, the wood goes into the fire. Then if they are at the fire when you resolve the turn it will light and they get happiness. Then there are relics, food and abilities etc that improve happiness.
This is good feedback.

At the map there are clues to the sites on the hex tile. In camp you can uncover them to get important upgrades. The early versions of the game were aimed at working out the mechanics by trial and error but im shifting toward clearer info. Still some gaps :)

Yeah it can be cool to leave side quest, and events as a reward for exploration. But core progression and mechanics should always have some kind of guidance. It's always been a common issue in our game as well. Better treat tutorials and exploration as 2 separate things.
