Hiya! Thanks.

Sorry I havent updated in a while, moved on december where I usually do my anual update. Also been working on the other project that I'm making to get some revenue at some point. Making games for free is not sadly very lucrative business model. But I will try to (never trust me on update dates) get a new update for simons curse somewhere between here to mid march.

Yeah I made the sprites based on the originals.

At first I used originals but later I swapped for ones I made based of the originals. Some tho like decorations, buildings, trees, etc etc are completely my design thou trying to keep it looking like it was made in the original style.

Sadly thou they are not availiable. IF I ever have time I have been thinking of adding support for graphical modding for the game. AKA you could load higher resolution sprites instead of the current ones. IF I did that then I would allow the use of my sprites for non monetary projects as I would include them as replacer models for the games graphical mods. But we shall see if I have time for that.

Feel free to comment on suggestions, etc. (not changing the stairs =D)  I will gladly hear them out.

I love the look you made for the sprites, still holding the feel of the 8-Bit while giving more color like a 16-bit style.  Big Kudos to you on your work!  I'm sad to hear they aren't available but I totally understand.  If I called myself a horrible pixel artist, that'd be over selling my abilities.  I'm working on making my version of this game as well and hoping to have the first vertical slice out later this month.  I also plan to make it free, as I don't want to mess with any legal stuff, but thankfully Konami seems to have been pretty generous to fan remakes over the years.

And I hear you on the stairs!  I finally got them working in my game, but what a nightmare they were. I still don't like my solution behind the scenes but it works.  Now I just need to get the knockback working better.  :-)

Yeah keep it free! I will gladly try it.

The other project I'm developing for possible revenue is my own design completely. Even bought all the music for it. It's a dungeon crawler. I can share a few images of it:

Ah cool, very early CRPG style, like Eye of the Beholder and Ultima games mixed with some System Shock.  :-)  Looking forward to seeing it.
