This was fun! It could use some kind of filler mechanic while waiting for the next key combo. Maybe you need to collect dark energy to power your next spell or maybe some kind of ritual speed multiplier. This would give the player a reason to risk exploring rather than just confine themself to a small area and dodging.
I'm also an oldschool DDR player so I enjoyed the arrow key mechanic.
I tried commenting on the game/voting pages directly but every time I would submit the page would just refresh and my comments weren't there.
I was able to rate it though. Great work!
