How do I play the full game, including all updates? Do I just need to get the original game, which will already be updated, or do I have to download each version individually?

Hi. The game doesn't update itself, you have to download it each time. In Patreon you get early access to the latest build. If you want the whole game as a single purchase you can follow me here on itch and follow on Patreon (for Free) to get updated when it's released.
