I liked the art style and the camera movement! But I did not really get what actually happened, due to missing animations I guess. I f I would not read your story, I would not understand what happens. Also the animations: There were kind of...flying stairs? These were the "boundaries" as you described it, but I don't quite get...why? :D I think it is still a good scene. But it lacks some music, more fitting SFX and animations. Maybe some dialogue would help as well. A simple "Don't go" to understand the person is trying to catch up the people. Regarding this interpretation of the theme it is also difficult, as stairs usually are not the boundary but the train leaving for instance. In a real scenario the man would just run further trying to catch up, right? :D
