Thanks!

I’ll add arrow keys and a visual cue for the bounds of the playing field.

Regarding how matches are cleared: I originally tried clearing whole blobs of one colour, but it felt too easy and not very strategic. Right now it clears lines of three or more - horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. Overlapping lines are allowed, but for example, two blocks sitting next to a three-block match won’t clear unless they’re also part of a line of three. I’ll think about how to make these rules clearer in-game so they’re easier to pick up.

So:

□  □  □

→ clears completely

□  □
□  □

→ only the three on the left clear

□  □
□  □

→ the four on the left clear

Now that you've explained it, I can see the pattern. I enjoy falling block games, and the three blocks adds a level of challenge.  I only lasted to about a score of 220 which took a few minutes.
