This is a great visual novel — genuinely a pleasure to read. As the chapters progressed, it was easy to notice how the writing kept improving, becoming more confident and refined. You can really feel the care and affection poured into every part of this story.
(SPOILERS AHEAD)
That said, the ending felt a bit rushed, especially from the electric fence conflict onward. It felt like several important threads were left unresolved: the outcome of the conflict itself, the love triangle, Mar’s situation with their parents, and the closure for some of the other characters. I couldn’t help but feel that there was more here that we didn’t quite get to see.
Even so, this remains a very wholesome and enjoyable visual novel, and reading it was a lovely experience overall. I truly hope to see more from Heat Source in the future :3
P.S. Grandpa Seraph is the GOAT
