Don't worry, your doing a great job :3
And by GOAT, I mean greatest of all time. I mean, grandpa was such a funny character and he played so well with Xiao lol
This is a great visual novel — genuinely a pleasure to read. As the chapters progressed, it was easy to notice how the writing kept improving, becoming more confident and refined. You can really feel the care and affection poured into every part of this story.
That said, the ending felt a bit rushed, especially from the electric fence conflict onward. It felt like several important threads were left unresolved: the outcome of the conflict itself, the love triangle, Mar’s situation with their parents, and the closure for some of the other characters. I couldn’t help but feel that there was more here that we didn’t quite get to see.
Even so, this remains a very wholesome and enjoyable visual novel, and reading it was a lovely experience overall. I truly hope to see more from Heat Source in the future :3
P.S. Grandpa Seraph is the GOAT
After a long time, I found myself coming back to visual novels and revisiting some I had played before. This one stayed somewhere in my memory. I couldn’t remember the name, but I knew I’d find it eventually.
When I did, I was so happy. And even happier to see that, even if slowly and quietly, it’s still alive.
I just wanted to say: thank you for being honest. And more than that, thank you for still caring. I’ve been in a similar place before, loving a project deeply, yet feeling stuck, drained, or unable to reach it the way I once did. That kind of stagnation doesn’t mean failure. Sometimes it’s just part of the process of being human.
Please know that it’s okay to move slowly. It’s okay to struggle. And it’s okay to take the time you need to reconnect with what you love, or even to change how that connection looks. You don’t owe us constant progress. Your well-being matters more than any release date.
I, and many others, are still here. Not waiting with pressure, but with support. Whenever the time is right, we’ll be glad to see Tangled Stars again. Until then, take care, and know that your work and you mean a lot to us.
Thank you deeply for your words. It’s comforting to know that even when things don’t go as planned, someone out there still believes in me. I’ll carry that with me into the book project — and I’ll keep creating, at my own pace. Honestly, I'm pretty tired of giving up on things, but now I have a good reason to finish this project. Thank you for being here, and all your support (〒w〒)
Hello, King! Thank you for your words.
Actually, there's a lot going on in my life. I'm in the final stages of a technical course, while also looking for a job and a place to live in another city, where I will probably spend a few years of my life.Because of this and other things that end up adding up, I get very exhausted and my time is short.
About Patreon, don't worry about having to pay, because it's on hiatus for now (during my hiatus I'm not charging subscribers or allowing new subscribers).
The situation on Patreon, despite having some new things that I didn't show here, is also at a standstill.
I think I exaggerated my answer, but in short, I'm too busy, too tired, wanting to work more on the project but not being able to.
You were very kind to come back here and ask how things are, I didn't expect that. Thank you for your care that I don't deserve ^w^
Thank you for your feedback and for suggesting Ren'Py Translator!
It's undoubtedly a great tool with useful features. However, in my experience, I faced some challenges, such as code conflicts and occasional issues with certain lines not translating properly. On the other hand, Zenpy worked seamlessly for my needs. It also provides tools that integrate well with my workflow, making it easier to manage translations in my game's code.
While Ren'Py Translator is an excellent option, it isn’t the most convenient choice for me personally, especially since I already use Zenpy Pro. That said, I believe both tools have their strengths, and I encourage developers to explore all options to determine what best suits their projects and workflow (✿◠‿◠)
