terrible choice of controls - space should be jump and using alt instead causes pop ups to appear on the screen ... needs changing to space = jump , dash = x
its when you press alt then space - it opens a small windows box in the top left of the screen and then locks the keys - so if your running you just carry on going (usually into spikes !)
