Visually, this game looks great.

I wasn't able to destroy any other ships. I was finding it hard to know if I was hitting, and when I was being hit myself.

I wasn't able to judge the distance management needed for the fight. Too close and they would smoke me, and too far away and I wasn't sure if I was making hits.

I don't know much about battleships. How often do they fire in real life? Is it something where you could follow the missiles with the camera each fire and show it hitting/missing?

Thanks for your playtest, despite the poor UX at the current status.

The main inspiration is from early WWII (for ex https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battleships_in_World_War_II). In "real" life, the main gun fires at about 2 rounds per minute - but I increased the frequency to allow more fun.

I'm not sure about the following cam, but I'll make an indicator for sure.
