So I started with Donnovan because I planned to play strategically -> It’s easier to go around the rules with a cop in your pocket right ? Loved his first reaction being such a real no ah, ah, ah. And the warning from MC’s uncle was so telling for the rest of the story, we really need to be careful on this route.
For Vince I thought he was the most safe and at the same time I wanted to keep an eye on him. Will he really not take the business from us ? His different reactions to our choices was interesting and at the same time, not sure we really like the implications when we ask him about the investigation. Is it what he thinks about MC or is he just really worried about Mc’s uncle ? Bit at least there is loyalty to the Uncle and to the business. Real nice cliffhanger before the next chapter !
One little problem and not one actually : in episode 1 when they are in the car there are 2 lines one on the other and the two begin with : Couldn’t find file… But it gives no problem since it’s purple on purple so almost not visible and we actually have a background, it’s not all black. I’m not sure it’s something that should be fixed.
Gerald or Gerry loved the mysterious atmosphere and learning little clues around. It was really nice to see the other boys so relaxed and learning more about what they did day 1 than what they are telling on their own route. I have to say it’s probably one of the more spoilers route but I’m really hooked, the pace was really nice.
One thing : The girl (Bea) Elliot introduced to us has the face really low. Like the lips on the neck and eyes around there the nose should be. It was weird to see especially when she is describes as attractive. And when we have a zoom on her face it’s all on the left on the background. Same problem with Lynch’s face being all on the left when we’re talking.
Another one on Gerry’s route : Couldn’t find file ‘Background/mansion_ballromm_day_v1.jpg’ so the background at the end of the episode is all black.
I ended up with Cliff because he has the more chapters. Wait ? Mabel ? Will we meet Mabel ? I’m not gonna say more because… There were a lot more chapters than what I thought. I got until epilogue 3 and I don’t want to spoil accidentally.
One thing : in episode 1 after the first choice when arriving at the bar Cliff and Andrew are superposing. Then when they are still one over the other Andrew lost his hat. Then in episode 2 at the amusement park after the choice there is a moment when Cliff’s hat disappears too before reappearing. Pretty funny ~.
The only typo I saw in the game so bravo at the end of the conversation with Leslie (episode 4) : T’ll send you another letter…
In episode 7 after choice when talking with Cliff : Image ‘sad’ not found.
The number 2 typo in episode 10 : ”Nobody gave a rat if we was happy or not.” It’s were.
2 typos in epilogue 3, I’m not sure it’s typos : qunnin’ for gunnin’ is my guess & the other lathe instead of lather.
Funny how our MC next morning is not wearing the same thing, it’s easy for players to get deeper in the stories. I loved the little things you learn about other characters in every route. It made me really curious about some and wary about others. I’m curious to read more and discover more about them and the universe.

Thank you!! For story-related things, the seasons currently listed on the page are from the old Lovestruck app that I didn't write myself (I'm just retyping them and setting them up in Ren'Py). I'd still love to discuss them with you if you're open, since I don't know anyone who played this game before it was originally taken down ahaha.
I absolutely adore Donovan (the mess that he is) and am very excited that he's currently leading the interest poll for who gets uploaded next. Vince is definitely a "hair-pin trigger" kind of character when it comes to people messing with those he cares about, which MC can be on the receiving end of when it comes to Cliff and Charlie. Gerald was one of the two new routes added in the second version of the app (the other being Sofia), so his route is definitely a bit different from the others. I'm hoping when I do my own episodes that I can pick up on enough dropped threads (like Mabel) so I can try and get the story as close to what the original writers were going for as possible. I'm not too worried about spoilers in here, so you're free to leave your comment intact, especially since there wasn't really anything too specific spilled, but I appreciate you asking ^^

"if we was happy" - that's actually an intentional speech pattern for Vince; the purple errors in the car scene are because I haven't finished all the sprites for the car just yet but I put the code in for them anyways so I don't forget about it, but I'm glad they didn't actually break anything; "in a lather" is the correct expression ( I had to look up the first time I saw it loll)
On Hold:
I'm unable to replicate the missing background and misaligned faces on windows, android, or web. If it's not something that I haven't already accidentally fixed while doing something else, it may take a while to fix this until I can use my lender Mac to see if it's just exclusive to that build.

You're welcome ! I did not know the old game so I never played it until well... the download and when my curiosity just couldn't stop playing the episodes ah, ah, ah ! Come on who sees a door open and don't go see the room ? I definitely shouldn't be in an horror movie.
But sure if you're interested I can tell you what I noticed or thought about the episodes retyped and the older. There was actually a cut between the first 2 and the others. It's not the same rythm. The cliffhanger was good, at least that was my feeling. Overall after reading all the episodes I thought the MC fell really fast. I had suspicions on him and he actually succeeded in making me lower my guard but then cold shower after all he is in the mobs. Welcome to reality sweetie ! The reactions of MC was a little long but well everyons reacts differently and I think maybe his golden retriever style made the cold shower even more shocking for some people so there is an explanation. But let's hope the reactions won't be the same in every route, 'specially for the one clearly being mob from the begining.
I definitely wanna see Donovan (and I have big suspicions Neil is a big mess too ! Imagine the reactions of players if Gerald is the one less messy !!). Great to know he is the one leading the poll. It could me nice to have a post about who is leading the poll and future polls to make readers more invested ! Maybe a post just for "older players" even though we don't know when they'll post. Or you could ask in a new poll the percentage of new and old players (if you have 100% new players it would be hard to find someone to discuss the before/after).
For the expression "in a lather" I searched and got nothing at the time, and after translating lather it was weird, then I tried today just by adding expression in my search and tada ! With a meaning having much more sens than the one I gote the first time translating just the word ah, ah !
I'll try again with the next mac version and tell you if the misaligned faces still happen (it would be great for an horror game actually). It could already be fixed, just like it could be only on one version of the OS. The joy of computers.
Anyway I'm really curious to know more about Donovan, it sounds like his story will be really fun ! We'll see in the next upload ~.
