V-Sync should be avoided at all costs
Why? from my expeience it helps avoid screen tearing and from what i hear, if your not spoiled by super graphics or something that should not be bad.
The FPS thing should be the only problem that I can image in that regard.
I haven't delved to deeply into the PC stuff yet because of reasons.
