I love this to bits!

I’ve done something similar where I have a laptop that uses labwc as its window manager.

  • it opens my writing application fullscreen on sign-in
  • It has no menu bars, status bars or app launcher
  • you can open a context menu with a keyboard shortcut/right click to get to the file manager, or admin programs
  • a keyboard shortcut does a little toast pop-up with system status like WiFi/battery percentage.

I think that the last bit of hiding the system status behind a toast notification is really practical because I want the application to be full screen, but having a battery reference is useful lol.

That's so COOL!
That is one thing I'm adding in a future update- when it's fullscreen it has a battery reference that's right there. So when you're on a laptop/etc it lets you know if you need a charge
