This is your first game?! Genuinely insanely well made esp. for a solo dev!!! The art/general aesthetics are adorable and this is probably the coolest interpretation of the theme I've seen. Only note is that like some other commenters I had a lot of lag on levels 1 and 7. Other than that, this might just be the perfect jam game. Keep it up!!

It is! Thank you so much!! I started learning GameMaker2 earlier this year (I do have other code experience) and really wanted to join a jam! I really appreciate the feedback about the art too! I'm more of a musician mainly so I was stressing big time about my art haha.
The lag seems to be coming from a background effect that some people have issues with so I'll have to figure out how to make it a toggle in settings next time I use it or something. Thank you so much for playing!
