Avoid lowering your Determination Points until you go to the kitchen. Help Soren, ask him about the knives, and then choose “Unless you’re going to burn the meat…”
This will raise his Monster points, and your Determination will drop to 5, which unlocks the breakup conversation at the end of the dinner.
