Don't compare your project to others. Things have changed alot with all the censorship pushing on the internet. It's changed the ecosystem alot. It's hard to get found in the first place, let alone hook people in or draw them in enough not to get downloaded and then ending up in their backlog. Alot of things have changed so anyone ending up as an explosive success is just not really going to happen.

Take time for yourself and regain your passion, or just luck out with one of thoes random bursts of inspiration where suddenly you manage to pump out enough work for 2 updates and then it dies as suddenly as it came. (I've ended up having to make use of thoes on a flagship thing i work on just because i got tired of working on the same thing for too long, and realised i could improve it if i pretty much rebuild the entire thing.) If you work with no passion it ends up showing either in the writing or art, since creative endeavors really rely on your current frame of mind.

I appreciate your words so much. I’ve always dealt with struggles of comparing myself to others, and it’s still something I’m working on haha.

But yeah! I’m going to take my time to regain the passion I have, and keep on doing what I love. And I totally agree with the last part of what you said! If you don’t have passion in the writing, it comes across that way.

I really needed to hear this. <33
