PC - download new version, unzip, play (save data is stored outside game folder - it's safe between versions)
Android - download new version, unzip, INSTALL on top of existing game, play (save data is stored INSIDE the game folder, if you uninstall old version first, then your save data WILL BE DELETED, instead install new version on top of existing one - this will prompt you to "update" instead)
