My friends and I are gearing up to play this for the first time, and I had a few questions about how the PCs defeat Baddies. Do the PCs need to roll to hit the Baddies, in the same way that Baddies need a 4 on a 1D4 roll to hit PCs? And for certain "keys to defeating baddies," specific movements are required (Jumping or Throwing for flying monsters,  Climbing for monsters that stick to walls, etc.), but PCs can only use a movement OR use a tool in each round. Does that mean that just using the correct Special Movement (without also attacking with a tool) is enough to hit a Baddie, or does the Special Movement essentially nullify the Baddie's special ability, letting PCs attack them normally in subsequent rounds?

Hey there! Thank you for downloading my game! I didn't realize that I had missed some additional language which is that using the special move to defeat the baddie is an automatic hit (no dice required). It just takes multiple times to hit the bigger baddies (like in many 8-bit games). Combining forces with your allies enable movement/hit combos allows to take care of the baddies together. As long as someone in the party can provide the movement type and someone has the correct weapon (if need be), you should be sweeping through those dungeons in no time.

An example: a person who can climb on walls can use their turn to get into position, granting their ally with an axe an ally-oop to hit the baddy on the wall or ceiling. It does put those players in danger of getting hit by them in return. If the movement player does manage to get taken out, then the remaining players will need a different way to get access to the baddies in order to take care of them.

Apologies for the delays in response, itchio notifications apparently got filtered into my spam folder!
