I'm really happy to hear that you had an overall good experience testing it. The sound design side of things is definitely more my strong suite compared to my pixel art. I know that the artwork is pretty amateurish and I'm working on improving my skills there! 

As for the fog of war mechanic, it's definitely something I've considered. However, I want to keep it as close to the historical board games that Eclipse is based on as possible. The hidden pieces and capture-the-flag mechanics actually go way back to the early 1900s (and maybe before). The idea is to test the players memory and deductive reasoning (guessing the pieces based on which pieces are already captured,etc).

I'll definitely polish the units and overall feel. I really appreciate that advice. If you have a friend who's willing to play with you, please give the multiplayer a try! Multiplayer should hopefully really bring out that board game feel.
