You really nailed the unsettling & creepy feeling with the restricted/claustrophobic visuals & audio cues. I couldn't get the drone out OR prevent the bulkhead from failing though, despite my best efforts to turn the handle back.
You need to press F to undock the drone and distract the sharks with flares using RMB
