This is a very cool idea. Reminds me of the days in highschool, games like “Shadowmere” where you would accumulate turns and resources and have to steal resources from other players.

I wasn’t able to collide with any other players so I feel like my review can only be on the interface, graphics, audio etc. I think this is an ambitious undertaking for a game jam, and the dev clearly has a lot of love for this style of game. The graphics are all custom made and while the game play is complicated, the implementation of core interactions is very clean.

My primary criticism would be that the onboarding experience is a bit lackluster. I had to watch the youtube tutorial to understand how to drive the game. Clearly a full Civ style tutorial would be a lot of work for a game jam entry, but if you improve this entry in the future I think a clean tutorial and tidy of the UI would improve the UX for first time players.

Nice work, continue to grow and challenge yourself!

Aw I wasn't able to find "Shadowmere," but those types of games heavily inspired this system.

Thank you for the feedback about the onboarding, I'll need to reference how other turn-based strategy games get new players up to speed.

Also, if you would like to see the combat mechanics, here is what you can do:

Looks great!
