Maybe it was me! I would use both hands, so movement on the left, and actions on the right (maybe ASDW+JKL keys?)
In my case, I'm used to using both hands, moving the directional arrows on the right and pressing the Z and X action buttons on the right, but I liked your suggestion to add that.
