Hi! This is awesome. Had a lot of fun with the game loop, specially because I can stay grinding the most of the island, and leave when I want. 

Some issues/suggestions: 
  • The first thing I noticed is the requirements to spawn a unit. The UI indicates that it needs food and a house. The food is consistent because the meat icon appears above, beside the gold, but the house icon doesn't appears anywhere and instead there's a peasant icon above indicating the current and maximum population. 
    That confused me the first time, because I was looking for a house or capacity indicator, but there's none. Early game that isn't a problem, but having played kind of sandboxy style, you lost count of how many houses you have/need. Is that relevant to know, even? Consistency may be a good thing here. 
  • Also, the Construction Hammer (from Fossil/Collection) says it modifies the capacity of Small Houses, but there's no small houses, at least in this demo. There are Huts, Houses and Large Houses, and it doesn't modifies any of those. 
  • Last, when you have the peasant population bonus at the start of the game and the bonus resources, if you have enough food, you can spawn units above the limit, as long as you press the button before the last bonus peasant comes out.

Again, I had fun for a couple of hours, now, wishlisted, and I'm hoping to have more content like this.
