You can go and talk to Yotra (gnome girl), she would give you the hammer + you would need to buy some clay from her (buy 2, it may come in handy later). Then you after talking to her go and fix the stove. After fixing it inspect the items (interactinve items in the bathhouse) and do something (it's up to you what to do) with them and then go talk to Shaartan. She would also ask you to find some roots for her, these roots can be found on the road just a little inside the forest.
