It’s absolutely fine. I actually only found the time to play all the games myself quite recently.
I’m really glad you liked the voice-over — it was done by one of my friends. And yes, those UE5 bugs and errors are a nightmare for me as well.
Unfortunately, the game design wasn’t as strong as I wanted it to be, and I had to rush it. The core idea was that instead of killing enemies to progress, you had to die in order to move forward. The level number is shown in the top-right corner of the screen, and reaching level -1 is the main objective.
Killing enemies moves you to higher levels, while dying moves you to lower ones — eventually even below the level you started at. If this explanation isn’t clear enough, please let me know and I’ll be happy to explain it in more detail.
The level numbers also have a subtle symbolic meaning, though I didn’t expand on it much in the game.
