There are many people who direct hurtful and inappropriate criticism towards the artist, believing that it is their right to do so. But we need to clarify an important point: if you haven't bought the game or supported the work in any way, you have no right to offer any form of criticism, even if it's constructive. Constructive criticism comes from those who contribute to supporting the work, not from those who enjoy the content without contributing to it in any way.

Not only do you cross the line of respect when you attack the artist, but you also intrude upon their personal dignity. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable. Moreover, it is unacceptable to insult a group, identity, country, people, or nation based on gender identity or any other factor.

Respect is not merely a request; it is a duty and a right for every human being, and it cannot be granted by those who do not contribute any support to the work they are criticizing. Criticism should come from genuine concern and active participation, not just from mere consumption.

To the artist: if this bothers you and you are thinking of stopping because of these criticisms, you are, of course, free to make that decision. While I agree not all the recent comments were constructive criticism, people still can have their opinion. Personally I stay away from things I don't like, I don't feel the need to spread negativity - we have plenty of that around, so I'm usually trying to focus on the good parts. That doesn't change the fact that yes, there are people who will throw slurs just for the sake of upsetting someone else. It happened in the past, it will still happen in the future, it's how it is in the internet.

There are still the counterparts. People like you who enjoy what I'm doing and that gives me the motivation to keep going and keep trying doing my best. Even if sometimes it's difficult. Nevertheless, I'm not planning to stop, I still have plenty ideas I want to share. With LD and with other projects I have in mind.

One thing though... Support means a lot of different things. Some people contributing by supporting me on patreon, some with kind words, encouraging comment or a pat on the back, I appreciate it al the same way.

So again... thank you for that, really.

Respect is fading in the world, for now.
And reacting, even being shocked, can be useful in raising awareness and allowing those who don't know how to appreciate or connect with the author's work to understand it.
This work isn't always easy to grasp, but it's coherent and passionate.
