Hey! Congrats on working on your first game! I really love the art and the theme interpretation as wave frequencies is a cool idea.
I think a very easy thing to make the game experience better for other reviewers in the jam is to simply include an explaination of the controls in the game's description. I had no clue what to do with the frequency thing until I read one of your replies to a previous comment on this page.
