Thanks for playing! Yes, you still must overcome the challenge (of which jokers are a challenge value of 14). So it is possible you could get lucky and suffer a consequence of FIND ANOTHER WAY twice should you fail the skill test.

Thanks for clarifying. One more question: how does Current change if you conquer a challenge with with two cards (failing first, then adding a second card)?

It feels so easy to get enough above the challenge score here to gain current but it feels wrong to gain current when you initially failed.

When you attempt the challenge with a second card, you treat it like a normal challenge attempt, so if you happen to succeed the challenge by 3 or more you will still gain a current. Do remember though that running out of cards in any stat deck means you perish!
