You definitely went down the epic route to convey the idea of a vast, eerie cosmos. The orchestration is exquisitely varied in this, relying on pure melody and percussions textures even for "narrative" effects. It's something I would still have a lot of difficulty to do, since I like special effects a little too much, and I respect you immensely for that. Great job!
