Thought I'd share some cursed theories I thought of, so we basically know the elves have no idea what a male is, yet they still seem to have offspring, or are really old (boring), so my best guess is that elves can reproduce asexually! but what if there was a way to combine that with what may also be considered long life? simple! when they die they revert back to a younger form, which allows them to reproduce! or in short, elves are jellyfish!!

It's possible that the Elves aren't 100% jellyfish, but share enough genetic traits to where they can be compared. Another option would be that they operate similarly to the Inklings from Splatoon, by which I mean that they have both a humanoid form and a jellyfish form.
