So I finally got around to completing a full playthrough of chapter 2 and thought I'd ramble some opinions. The segments with the street clothes and bunny outfit were my favorite both narratively and visually. Mezz makes a sexy reluctant femboy. The bunny outfit segment in particular was great because it has my favorite defeat scene in the game. The view we got with Mezz bent over the bar paired with the outfit made it top tier for me. Least favorite part was when Mezz got addicted to giving blowjobs at the club. I found that was bit too disruptive which made the blowjob mini-game which was initially a fun sequence, a monotonous chore. Mezz as the protagonist is great. Having this cocky headstrong vigilante contrasted with the seductive and corrupting nature of the world he inhabits is a good combo. Makes those scenes where he gets manhandled and humiliated all the better. Another aspect I like about Mezz is his willingness to firt/seduce others to achieve his goals like when Mezz goes through the center alley way with the street clothes or when he has to lure a guard away from his post. Despite being this spunky hero he is aware that others find him attractive and isn't above exploiting said attraction if the situation demands. Overall it was a fun and sexy experience and I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Glad you liked it! I'll definitely agree that the forced return to the glory hole are a little flat: there are many experiments here, and not all of them work. I assume MOST people probably only did that route as a secondary anyway though, or had an earlier save before getting addicted, so it wasn't the end of the world.
But yes, Mezz is DEFINITELY aware he's desirable. Or...well it's complicated. He's smug about everything, including that. But I think he's one of those people who's laser-focused on a particular thing, in this case being the image in his mind of what a "hero" is. He's not SO laser focused that it makes him an asshole, he still cares about and helps other people, and not just to stroke his own ego or live out his own self-image. But it does make him a little blind to other things, like how Scratch feels about him, or maybe even the thugs he encounters.
In his mind, I think he sees all those interactions through the lens of "bad guys torturing the hero", or in the case of say the center path, the hero doing something sly to sneak past. Mezz I think is one of those infuriating people who's very good at what he does, but never really takes things fully seriously until he's FORCED to (which he obviously is, quite frequently in these games). Again, not to the point of being an asshole or being shitty to people, or being totally divorced from reality: He's still somewhat practical, down to earth, helps people when they need it. But he definitely has an ego, and VERY much enjoys what he does, and gets kind of caught up in it all. Which is why it's so much fun to pull him forcefully out of that.
Even though the glory hole bit wasn't my cup of tea I'm happy with the effort you put in adding variety to the parts. Truth be told I messed up my saves and didn't realize I was stuck having the send Mezz back to the club. I felt too invested to have to start over. Again I'm excited for what you have in store for Mezz in part three. One thing I forgot to bring up was something concerning Scratch. The slut mode defeat against Khazeem gives us a segment where Scratch leaves his office to go find Mezz and gets captured. That bit made me wonder if you considered doing more with him. Like having Mezz go save him from some goons, or even have him as a playable character either as a party member or in a solo segment. If the interest is there I think it'd be neat to give Scratch a chance to shine or rather get got by some baddie. If not it could be a neat expansion for part 3.
