Regarding the jump: you just need to be a bit quick when jumping off the platform — there’s no extra mechanic there.
As for the echo system, I originally avoided making it player-triggered because I felt it would give the player too much control and remove a lot of the intended challenge. That’s why it currently activates at fixed intervals (every 5 seconds). However, there’s an issue at the moment where the echo sometimes triggers earlier than it should, and I know that can disrupt the gameplay. I’m looking into that bug and will fix it soon.
