Thank you for the kind words man, I'll concede that the majority of this main quest kind of just 'happens' to MC without him having much active say in the matter, but that's kind of the point I was trying to get across, this is a point in his arc where he's losing control of the narrative, trying to fight back through giving (an ultimately pointless) choice to you the player as an attempt to take back control. I'm trying to write his next steps in dealing with this in a way where he doesnt actually physically show what his plan to deal with the evil version of himself is if that makes sesne. Because the evil version of him can obviously see and hear his thoughts, he needs to find a way to disconnect himself from- well okay i cant get more into it because that's spoilers obviously.

But he's been shown to be pretty passive in the past, fucking up trying to save algaia from jester and only saving melon from valentina because another version of him had to basically take over. But he's definitely learning, as soon as he gets hit in the head by Urabi he teleports to Whole Garden to try and get away, she just happens to be able to follow him. Originally I wrote him to be more active in the end of 0.30 with Shiver and Chiame's story but I felt like that was their own thing and getting him involved would kind of seem weird so I just kept it so that he confronts Shiver and then has that interaction with Blake instead.

But you're right, it's something that'll be tackled later, the next main story quest in 0.35 is going to be a chance for him to shine, I promise.

Hey, your good! The problem with these kind of observations is that I'm fully aware that the story isn't finished yet. If this is an intentional part of the arc, (one that makes sense with previous characterization of him as very much just going with the flow to an occassionally detrimental degree.) I understand that this is a game where we're playing as a person, and not using the MC as a vessel for who we are-and so far, he's interesting, which is a hard sell in an H-game! If this is a feature and not a bug, and the MC is supposed to feel like he has no control right now, then keep doing what you're doing! I'm just glad to hear he's learning-and yes, he DID try to escape. So, tl;dr:Thanks for the response, and thanks for the game!
