Yes, it's because I had to upgrade Renpy (the programming language that the game is created with).
The new versions save the game in a different location, so unfortunately none of the old saves will work.

That's why I coded in

It allows you to (manually) load the game at Chapter 46. You can use the built in SKIP function to fast forward to the parts you haven't seen yet.

Thanks a lot. Renpy changes do stuff like that. Didn't see it on your itch post, and since that's where I purchased the game, it's all I had to go on, I COULD have tried starting a new game and looking for something, BUT NOOOO! Thanks again.

No problem. I loaded the game and sat on the CTRL key for about 30 minutes skipping through on fast forward to get to the before last chapter.

I understand how frustrating it is not to have your old saves load. I usually try to NEVER update renpy until I finish a project, but my main drive (with renpy on it) started flaking out on me and I didn't have any choice. I had to start rebuilding it with a fresh install.

Sorry that you had computer problems. I completely understand. I did really enjoy the update. I actually played through the previous chapter rather than skipping through, since I usually forget a lot that happened.

I'm glad you're enjoying the game. Computer problems happen.
Though it is the first time I've ever had a m.2 drive go flakey on me.
