Really cool VN. I did raise an eyebrow at the fact that each timeskip takes a year, which reduces the amount of time we get to share with the characters as they develop, but in a way, I do appreciate the fact that this is far from a perfect meet-cute relationship. The fact that it takes years for anything to change adds to the inertia of depression that the VN is creating with its story. And then the skip to the future took me by surprise, not gonna lie. Well, not more than the death that happens before that. It's sad that nothing ever happened there, but realistic. The last part of the story really contextualizes the whole timeskip thing too, so I definitely understand why it was done that way. As for the art, while I do like the sprites, I do wish there were more expressions. It still worked for the VN though, and the custom backgrounds and CGs were well made. The different color schemes definitely contributed to the mood throughout the VN. Anyways, this was a great and original VN that surprised me in many ways, which is actually pretty hard to do in this medium. Well done.

Glad you liked it!
I do plan on contacting Jimmy to add more expressions once the wait period is over. They were originally going to be in the jam version but there was like... four or five days left, so it was unrealistic to have Jimmy smash those out while also finishing work on Nepenthes.
The Bygones was an idea that was stewing in my mind for a bit, so I'm happy you liked how it turned out!
