Glad you liked it!
I do plan on contacting Jimmy to add more expressions once the wait period is over. They were originally going to be in the jam version but there was like... four or five days left, so it was unrealistic to have Jimmy smash those out while also finishing work on Nepenthes.
The Bygones was an idea that was stewing in my mind for a bit, so I'm happy you liked how it turned out!
Sorry you didn't like it!
The Bygones wasn't written just for musicians, but there's a possibility that in my musician mindset, I included too many terms that weren't friendly for non-musicians. I know some stuff like Rickenbacker and pentatonic scale especially would fly over people's heads now.
As for the song lyrics part... that scene was coded in two hours as well as two hours before the jam ended. It was never going to be perfect unfortunately, though I plan on touching the timing up a bit when the wait period is over.
I knew the ending would be controversial. Reception has been mixed on that part; some really like it, some hate it. I plan on expanding that scene a bit more in an update since I didn't get everything I wanted in it out there (ex. the jam version didn't conclude Ashley's and Pat's stories properly).
I hope you'll give it another chance when I update it, but I understand if you won't!
We'll be updating the sprites in future updates. It was done like this for monetary reasons since sprites are expensive. Sorry to hear you don't like the antagonist's writing. We'll try to improve it in future updates. Silverstone's conception was mostly inspired by Higurashi, Silent Hill, and Uzumaki. I didn't read Echo until a while later. We knew we'd still get Echo comparisons, though, so we've accepted that.
Thanks!
As for what all of that stuff is, it is in some way tied to the forces behind Silverstone. After the good ending, pretty much everything is back to "normal" in a sense. Walt isn't psychotic, it's Silverstone's influence affecting him. Wish I could go into more, but it's hard to get into without getting into the main meat of the full VN taking place in the town. All in time :)
And thanks for reading the about, as well! Trying to rest, but it's hard taking breaks as a workaholic lol
