Fortress in the Swamp

Today's pixel art is based on the PC video game Pools of Darkness (MS Dos). It's a role-playing game about adventure, knights, catacombs, magic, and wizards. Necromancers and elves dwell here. A whole ocean of gaming experience awaits you. And treasures. New amulets, a new sword, and a bow. Everything is on this disk!

And this is my drawing based on Pools of Darkness (MS Dos). There's water everywhere. Puddles. Streams. The fortress was already very close. It looks like this is a very swampy area. The elves didn't tell you about this. They simply asked you to quickly go and bring them the stolen artifact. Without it, they won't be able to hold back the onslaught of necromancers and skeletons.

Which in just a few days will turn day into night. So this is a time quest. There's a labyrinth here. And you still need to find the artifact.

Солнечный диск

Пиксель арт на сегодня по мотивам видеоигры Темное Солнце для компьютерной системы Пк Мс Дос. Это таинственное приключение в древнем мире. Ролевая игра. Я не играл. И мнее сложно сказать про что там. Но выглядит как древний мир и фэнтези или мутанты что-то.

А это мой рисунок по мотивам Темное Солнце (Мс Дос). Это как мой любимый жанр экшен Рпг. Действие. Ролевая игра. Бегаешь по постные или пустошам. И мочишь много монстров. Разные фэнтези существ. Или мутантов.

Солнце выжигает в пустыне таинственные круги. Солнце так сильно жарит что почти что огонь. Это мир песков. И забытых земель. Пальмы растут время от времени. И бывают оазисы. Красивое зрелище. И самого разного цвета пески.

Тут невероятно жарко. И день очень долгий. Воды мало. И ты в магических одеждах. Или в техно костюме. С улучшениями. Тут все исследуешь. Зависит от сеттинга игры. Установок игрового мира. Просто тупо бегалка по пескам. Как вторая диабло. Только картинка! Техника или фэнтези.

Bleeding – Green Rocks on Mars

Today's pixel art is based on the Ultimate Doom video game for the IBM PC MS DOS system. The famous 3D shooter. About hell and monsters in hell. Like a dark action movie. 3D synthesis on a 486Dx2 machine. Sometimes it's dynamic, sometimes it's scary. There are abandoned bases and hellish landscapes. Lots of graphics.

And this is my drawing based on Ultimate Doom (MS DOS). Mars turned out to be dangerous. And there were many monsters there. Ghosts. Demons. All emerged from sealed portals. The Martian explorers didn't even know what this planet held in its sands. The portals opened like old wounds. And the bleeding began. Monsters. Monsters everywhere!

These rocks shouldn't have been touched. Especially not exposed to radiation. But it's too late now. You go there, to the plains. To repel the monsters. Reflect the fires of hell. As much as you can. Flying away from here is unrealistic.

The plot is kind of low-budget. Category B from a VHS tape. And I've already tried to learn the engine this year. And I haven't managed it yet. I took the lessons. But I didn't have the energy for practical work on the engine. And I realized something else, for a simple 3D shooter. Even for a simple one. You have to draw a lot! I don't have that kind of energy yet! So I continue my training!

And one day that day will come. VHS, category B. Action thriller. Mysticism. Magic. Both the engine and my drawings. They will do the job!

Light from the Deep

Today's pixel art is based on the video game X-Com Terror from the Deep for PC MS-DOS. A tactical game. About aliens. This time from the depths of the ocean. And everything changes completely. Diving suits. The underwater seabed. A new visual style. And everything is so unusual! What's it like for the fish down there!

And this is my drawing based on X-Com Terror From the Deep (MS-DOS). The underwater world is full of unusual things. Other species live there. It's another planet. Only seemingly similar to Earth. Someone is building sarcophagi underwater. And putting so-called sleepers in there. They look like octopuses or squids.

They put them to sleep, so they sleep. But why? Now it's clear! These are beings of immense intellectual power. Telepaths. And travelers between the stars. And they've already decided you're a danger to them. Your underwater expedition to this planet is in jeopardy. Contact with base has been lost. The sarcophagus is open. The sleeper has awakened.

Meanwhile, the bottom hasn't yet been explored. Something very white is glowing there. The white light is coming from the bottom. As if there's a second sun there. And that, too, is unclear. This planet is much stranger. The local underwater species won't interfere in your conflict with the ancients. And they don't want to talk about the light from the depths either.

Dark Elf - Archer and Wizard

Pixel art for today based on the video game Bard's Tale for PC (MS DOS). It's a role-playing game released in the mid-80s. There's a version with 4-color СGA graphics. It's an adventure no worse than Dungeons & Dragons. Or maybe it's even the best. I haven't played it. I don't know for sure. But there's definitely adventure, leveling up, and exciting gameplay for the time. It's probably something like the Krinn Saga.

And this is my drawing based on Bard's Tale (MS DOS). The town is quiet and peaceful. Pedestrians stroll the stone streets. And they have no idea that among them walks the legendary dark elf. An archer and a wizard. Ra-mazh. And even fewer know about the catacombs that lie literally in the neighboring forest. From the old lich king. Who lived here hundreds of years ago. A passage to the depths was found in the ruins of an old tower.

This discovery so stunned the dark elf that he literally forgot to finish his magic elixir at the tavern. He rushed to check it out himself. And it turned out to be true. Most likely, the necromancer lich himself still rests somewhere in these underground labyrinths. This should be investigated first.

But before that, he needs to think things through. And buy healing potions from the healer. Get a new weapon from the blacksmith. A dagger. Then have the sorcerer cast spells on it. You're unlikely to find anything better in these parts than the Dark Bow of skies. Plus, +1 to attack. And the spells are also quite good for fighting the undead. The dark elf specializes in exterminating the undead.

He wears a robe so no one will recognize him. And you are that dark elf. And this is his adventure. In 4-color СGA graphics. Like MS DoS! It's just a picture! And the text is like a fantasy story.

Shadows of the Labyrinth

Today's pixel art is based on the video game Champions of Krynn for PC (MS DOS). A golden age role-playing game. Somewhere around the 80s and early 90s. The golden age of this type of dungeon-and-dragons role-playing game. Tombs, monsters, labyrinths. Magic and battles. All this awaits you in Champions of Krynn! In the 80s style.

And this is my drawing based on Champions of Krynn (MS DOS). The enormous gates slowly open. The hall is dark. A torch sways in the wind. Dust surrounds. And cobwebs. Sand falls. The slow sound of footsteps is heard. It must be the legendary Warklyn. You've entered the wrong passage. Wandering through these tangled labyrinths. This enchanted labyrinth is difficult to navigate. And you've awakened a warrior from a bygone era, sleeping in a magical slumber. An era of legends.

Who would have known it was all true? These legends. How did you manage to miss the right turn in this labyrinth? Could the map be wrong? The gnome from the green hills claimed it was the most accurate map. Without a map, you can't navigate this labyrinth. It magically changes. And the map changes with it.

Wonderful winter days for the fox

It's the most wintry evening. It's almost evening. And the sun is painting a beautiful sunset. Everything is so sunny. The light reflects off the snow. It's like fireworks. Joyful winter days have arrived for the fox, too.

The fox loves playing in the snow. Such pure white snow. You can bury yourself in it. Sometimes there's frost from droplets of water. And sometimes the sun's rays melt the snow too. It's very beautiful. The snow is so varied. And mostly it's white, blue, light blue. The fox can distinguish so many colors.

The fox is jumping and playing in the snow. There's a snowfield here. A place open to the winter sun. Expanse. Fun. You run everywhere here. You bury yourself in the snow. You sit there for a few seconds. And then you jump out. Snow flies in all directions. A feeling of coolness and cold. The jump. Such moments are well remembered. And the sun is in your eyes. The sun is setting. In winter, evening begins early.

Then you catch your breath. And look around. Suddenly, a friend, the bunny, will come running. But today he won't be there. And the fox will be running around here alone. And playing. Just sunbeams. The polar bear waves a hand

The polar bear waves to you. Hello. There's a lot of snow here. And it's like that here every day. This is a snowy land. It's snowing a little. Little lumps of snow are falling. It's fun to catch them in your hand. The bear does this often. And he watches as the snow melts in his hand. By the way. You can drink some water like this. Take a lot of snow in your paw. And when it grows, there will be water. You can drink some water!

Here he is, making his way to the edge of the island where he lives. It's a big island. Where every day is a winter day. To say goodbye to you. It's already evening. And it's time for you to go home. But the bear will stay here for a while. He has strong legs. And he walks through big snowdrifts. Kind polar bear. See you tomorrow! Tomorrow, we'll play some more!

If he's wandered far away, he can build one of those little houses. And spend the night there. He already has about a dozen of these little houses along the coast. And about thirty snowmen, which he's made. They're his landmarks.

Sometimes penguins come here and help him navigate. They often come from one side, where the shore is low. And it's easy for them to jump right out of the water. The bear even wrote the word "hello" in the snow on the surface. In big letters.

This time, the bear will leisurely walk to his little house. Time to rest! It's getting dark!
