Not sure what exactly your point is, that's what i said. Don't use the launcher, so therefore download through the itch.io website or votv website and extract it. I don't think 7zip is actually necessary anymore.
I had to unzip my 0.9.0 shadow test build 22 days ago, unsure if im alone, im downloading 0.9.2 shadow atm and shows as a 7zip file.
