This was a pretty fun story! I always enjoy games with a lot of narrative choices, and this is no exception. The use of speedrunning as a theme to hold together the date is also interesting, especially given all the drama in that community that I'm sure many of us nerds can relate to. If I had to comment on something though, it would be that I honestly didn't use the coin that often, at least when gunning for the good ending. Maybe I'm just godly at dating sims but I felt like some of the options were obvious. It did try to trick me at times though, don't think I didn't catch that. In particular, the score lowering before going up again, to make one go back prematurely. But to be fair, I did muck around for a bit, intentionally going for some bad endings, so I guess that gave me some knowledge without using the coin. Still, it feels like I could have accomplished the same result by save-scumming my choices so I don't know if the coin actually added that much to it, outside of the ending, which is a fun metaphor for accepting your mistakes for what they are. But, all said and done, it's a pretty neat dating sim with plenty of branching options, so that's always fun.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The question of whether to make the date actually 'hard' or not was definitely something I grappled with at first, but I ultimately decided to keep it so that you could reasonably finish it first try - the intention was for the choices / score / rewind ability to represent Saul's own anxiety and constant second-guessing surrounding the date, rather than him actually struggling to get Alan to enjoy his company.
After all - online drama aside, the two are were meant to be quite compatible.
