I can very easily go without it. Plenty of the games I enjoy don't have it and I enjoy them just fine. Depending on the world it might seem more or less appropriate, like a world where people transform or there's monsters/aliens or something it's not exactly too far fetched, and I can enjoy it, but Something where it's grounded In a "normal/realistic" setting is where I wouldn't want it. Regardless of my preferences, optional content is optional content.
I mean like personally I hate NTR, doesn't mean I'm gonna beg the devs not to put in optional routes for it for those who do enjoy it, or be put off by the game purely because those options exist. I can simply not play those routes and everyone can enjoy the game the way they want to
