Hi, everyone! There are a few comments about saves here, so I wanted to pass along this message from our lead developer. Please let us know if you're experiencing any other issues.
- Saves from previous demos will carry over on desktop and can be loaded on the new demo
- On Android, old saves will carry over only if you install the app on top of the old demo (otherwise if you uninstalled it, those saves are gone)
- Saves from the beta will not load on the public demo
- Saves from the public demo on Step 1 will load in the new demo, and will load in the December (and beyond) betas
- Saves from Step 2 made on the public demo will only be loadable on the public demo, and not on the betas
- In general, all Step 1 saves should be backwards compatible. Any Step 2 saves made on a public demo won't be compatible with anything other than the public demo since the Step 1 ending isn't included in the public demo, and is required to advance to Step 2 in the full release.
- There's also a Sync button on the save/load screen which will give you a code you can use to transfer your saves between devices.
- Saves made on the preview (the one that released a few days ago, 1.5.0) should be loadable on the current public release, 1.5.1
