I like the concept and the visual style looks cool. However the game mechanics need a bit more polish. Movement has awkward amounts of acceleration and the jump feels somehow awkward. Some things don’t make much sense, like, you go around collecting coins that are used for ???. Killing ghosts gives you humanity because ???. You have HP on top of a lives system. There are signs posted everywhere that look like they’d act as a tutorial but no, the NPCs act as signs instead. Being crushed by a giant skeleton foot kills you just as fast as grazing a giant skeleton toe.

In conclusion, I think you should think through the game mechanics a bit more, and put more work into making the player character feel great to control, not to mention fighting enemies should feel challenging but fair. More sound effects is also a good idea! Hope this didn’t come off too negative, there is a lot of potential here.
