I had the same feedback on my game but coyote time would have helped a lot, I think.
Side note: My favourite character is the guy who likes ice cream.

Coyote time is almost always a good idea when it comes to platformers, we never really felt like we should've implemented something like that in the moment, mainly because our player never accelerates/decelerates, there's never a reason to get a running start into your jump. But looking back, we probably should've at least provided a lenient hitbox for floor interaction. Thanks for letting us know!
