This game brings me back to my childhood of playing Sonic, combined with an early 2000's internet vibe that's hard for me to explain.
Put simply, the game is very fun, and has a lot of variety and split paths in the main levels to keep you coming back, but it also pretty much always has something going on. I actually got a little overstimulated a few times playing this game because so much was happening on screen at once (Though there is a photosensitivity warning so more fool me I guess.) At the time of writing this I haven't fully finished the game, with Ultramega Mode still left to explore, but I do think that this game is wonderful and worth a look.
I do have a few critiques though; dreamscape distance section 2's music loops incorrectly, the minecarts are super broken, some of the ziplines glitch you directly to the end of the level, and the eponymous main character is pretty rude, though I get that it's part of the bit.
