I read the comments and saw it would probably be important to read the page first, and was still confused. I would recommend introducing mechanics over time rather than saying all at once. I enjoyed the art, and thought the highlight was a nice touch on the herbs to collect, but I couldn’t figure out how to cast spells. I am guessing I didn’t have the correct combination of herbs? Maybe you could have a spell that works with just a single herb to help teach things?

I imagine that was the case, and yeah I agree with what the comments are saying in general. Unfortunately balance and actual game design were the areas that took the biggest hit from this being a jam game with limited time, appreciate the feedback on them though. I do wish people would look at the menu by pushing escape or clicking settings on the main menu, they would see the recipes for spells and which crops need what materials to kill; it has been wild as someone who exclusively clicks settings the moment I open a game to find that other people do not heh
