This took me a bit to understand, but once I realized that laying the initial blocks defined the space, I was able to figure out what was happening. I enjoyed the puzzle aspect of trying to fill things, but got confused as to what order the mushrooms evolved. I got through multiple weeks, but didn’t have a clear idea of how it happened, it felt more like I got it without intending too. I did end up getting a soft lock like you mentioned, though maybe that is basically just a game over if you can’t put your last piece down? Did you consider allowing to rearrange the pieces you already had, or that would take away from the puzzle?

it was intended to be part of the puzzle, but getting essentially a game over was not specifically intended. Had a few ideas to deal with it, but ran out of time before getting around to implementing anything. Also intended to add piece rotation, which would've helped that problem in certain instances.
