The atmosphere is great, the background and the trees and the pit with eyes staring at you.
However if you go around the hole for like 10 times at top speed I think you pretty much win unless you're still getting followed by the hunter, which makes it like that "the immortal/unstoppable snail" kind of metaphor which is even more creepy!
