This was a very cool game! Despite some minor English errors, the story was entirely understandable and the style of writing was coherent, so you've done a great job with the translation. And I'm glad you did, so that us English speakers could experience it!
I ended up having to play on story mode as I found the game to be a little too challenging, even in this mode. Because it was really dark even with the flashlight and lamps, the entity was very difficult to spot, and sometimes I would get too close to it before I noticed it and would not have the chance to outrun it at all. I think this type of gameplay worked better with being able to save at any time as I felt like I required foresight more than skill sometimes. Despite that, it was a satisfying challenge to overcome, and you integrated turning off the flashlight to spot detection very well, I found that it actually made a big difference with certain encounters. I did manage to get to the end and see the credits.
Other small details like highlighting interactable objects in green were a really nice touch. The story had some interesting folklore behind it that I wasn't familiar with. Also glad you listed your inspirations, I'd heard of some of them but not Zigeunerweisen, and now I have a new movie to watch! I think your cinematic influences came through in the atmosphere, and sometimes I found myself wondering what the game might have looked like as a movie. I would definitely watch it!
