I've encountered what sounds like this bug after the fix, what do I do? I had cleared the sewers and collected all the loot before starting the quest and now I don't have a mermaid ring

The ring now drops automatically from beating the Toeëater Nullbolt fight in the underground north. This is irrelevant of the state of the quest
